Michael Hammond has coached lawyers, entrepreneurs and business executives for more than 25 years and played an instrumental role in the founding of Atticus. As a Certified Practice Advisor with Atticus, Michael’s one-on-one coaching focuses on lawyers in firms of all sizes who want to increase their revenue, decrease their stress, grow a sustainable firm for the future, and achieve more balance between the professional and personal dimensions of their lives. His one-on-one coaching with lawyers has been informed and enhanced by his own experience in practicing law, and he brings that experience to bear when coaching estate planning, elder law, family law and personal injury attorneys.
Michael has been a frequent speaker on a variety of practice management topics at numerous conferences of state, regional and national legal organizations and professional associations, including the Law Society of Scotland and Northern Ireland, the State Bar of Texas and the Florida Bar. He has also been a regular columnist for many years for LawyersUSA and other law-related publications, contributing monthly articles on a wide range of marketing, strategic planning and practice management issues.
Michael has also contributed to the legal profession by serving as the Vice Chair of the Public & Member Information Committee, as well as the Task Force on Lawyer Advertising for the Florida Bar. He has also served on the Futures Committee of the State Bar of Texas. He has spent his entire career either practicing law or promoting and improving the practice of law. Michael has been a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar since 1983. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law and his B.A. from Stanford University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
